Students can enjoy half-price skating every Friday from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. – just bring your student ID to redeem!

Skate aids are available to rent for $10. Guests requiring accommodations are encouraged to contact rink staff directly prior to their visit so we can ensure an enjoyable and accessible skating experience.

The Park’s New Tradition

Holliday Park’s story began during the 1916 centennial celebration of Indiana statehood, when John and Evaline Holliday donated their country estate to the City of Indianapolis, expressing the belief that “the land is singularly suited to be a place for recreation and the study of nature.”

Over 100 years later, it’s safe to say that their vision has been fulfilled. We’re so excited to add the skating rink to serve this mission. This will become an annual holiday tradition. Proceeds from the Ice Rink at Holliday Park will go to the Holliday Park Foundation to allow the park to continue to grow, evolve, and serve the community.

The Ice Rink is the perfect venue for corporate outings, birthday parties, 3-on-3 pond hockey, and more!

The hockey community has been asking, “When will the Ice Rink be available for hockey activities?” Well, now is your chance!

Coffee Club

Ice Skating is a timeless activity anyone can enjoy – young and young at heart. No better way to warm up on a winter morning than a hot cup of coffee by the fire with your friends! Wednesdays at 11 a.m.

Learn to play hockey

Discover the thrill of hockey with Our Hockey House’s free Learn to Play Hockey program. It was such a hit last year, we now have lessons on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from December – February. Tuesday evening sessions are open to the public (must RSVP); Wednesday sessions are reserved for IPS school students to coordinate directly with Our Hockey House.

Skates are provided.

Skating Lessons

The Ice Rink at Holliday Park has partnered with the Winter Club of Indianapolis to offer unique courses designed to make all ages and skill levels comfortable both on and off the ice.

Learn to Skate USA® Lessons

Learn to Skate USA® teaches lessons to sharpen their focus and provide greater balance on and off the ice. As they conquer challenges on their paths to amazing, new worlds well beyond the world of skating will happen right before their eyes. Monday evenings and Saturday mornings, see calendar for availability.

Each class includes:

30 minutes of group instruction, plus 30 minutes of practice
Complimentary skate rental

Homeschool Skate

The perfect way to wrap up a long week of classes with outdoor exercise and socialized play in beautiful Holliday Park! Students and their families can enjoy half-price skating every Friday morning from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (No Homeschool Skate on 11/29 or 12/20-1/3)
