About the Event

The Holliday Park Trail Run is a two day event on March 14 & 15 that includes fun events for the whole family Friday evening, and both a 5-mile run and 3-mile hike on Saturday morning. Participants will scramble, run, jump, climb or walk along the trails of Holliday Park, Blickman Park, White River, and Williams Creek. Participants will be challenged by uneven terrain, hills, stairs, mud, rocks, roots, and maybe even some water!

Friday Family Fun Events (3/14): Beginning at 6:00 p.m, parents can cheer on their kids as they race from the Ruins and along the trails during the 1-Mile Kids Run (ages 6-12) and Tot Trot (5 and under). Every finisher gets a prize! Once the races are over, everyone is invited to stick around and enjoy a bonfire and s’mores!

Saturday Morning (3/15): Beginning at 9:00 a.m., the 5-mile run and 3-mile hike will challenge participants as they journey along the course.

Runners only for the 5 Mile Trail Run. Must be able to finish in 1 hr 10 minutes

We do not allow dogs at this event.

Thanks to our generous sponsors, enthusiastic participants, and loyal volunteers, all proceeds from the Holliday Park Trail Run are used to supplement the city budget, support environmental educational programming, field trips, and maintain the park’s amenities at a high standard.

The Holliday Park Trail Run was a smash in 2024! The sun shone brightly, the skies were clear, and the trails were at their finest, resulting in one of our highest attended Trail Run weekend ever at nearly 500 participants and a great kickoff event using the newly constructed Susan Bayh Outdoor Classroom. Thanks to our tough-as-nails participants, amazing volunteers, generous sponsors and supporters, Trail Run generated over $46,000 to support Holliday Park, which marks nearly $750,000 raised in its 23 years. Proceeds will support a variety of environmental education programming needs, capital projects, and trail renovations right here in the park.
